War Assignment<br />FACTS<br />The Sri Lankan Civil War was a conflict fought on the island of Sri Lanka.

This would have a great impact because Sri Lanka is an island and people have a small fighting area. <br />HI – The impact of the fact that Sri Lanka is an island is that people don’t have many places to escape.  Therefore lots of civilians have been killed in the war.  <br />POEM<br /> Dulce et Decorum Est 1 Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,2 Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,3 Till on the haunting flares we turned out backs,4 And towards our distant rest began to trudge.5 Men marched asleep. GAS! Quick, boys “ explains a bomb being dropped on people.<br />HI -It also shows Human Ingenuity – as humans created the bomb and now they are killing all these men.  It is scary to think about what people create to kill other people.<br />PROSE<br />NEWYORK TIMES<br />On March 19, 2003, the American invasion of Iraq began when President George W. Bush ordered missiles fired at a bunker in Baghdad where he believed that Saddam Hussein was hiding. It showed that missiles were fired at people in Baghdad. It shows that missiles are used in war.  It also shows that lots of troops were sent into Iraq.  <br />HI - As a result of what people have created lots of people have been injured or killed during the time the USA have been in war.  This is what human have created. They have created weapons and these weapons kill people.<br />
